Happy 4th of July!

July 4th, 2008 by Walt "The Skipper" Jones

We want to wish you a Happy Fourh of July! We are anchored in Portage Cove near Cape Canso at the tip of Nova Scotia.  This area is very pretty and rocky, and it is windy and very foggy tonight. Tomorrow we plan to go through St. Peter’s lock into Bras d’Or Lake, and hope to meet up with Randy, Jenny and Quinlan on Sunday.

This is so cool to be able to follow you along. Kudos to Randy on the website.

Looks like you’re having the typical weather that goes with the latitude (cool, often damp/wet, and short nights that go along with the season)! You know I can relate to that.

Since we’re all talking about you (I was just down to the mountain house with Christine) I thought I’d check in and let you know we’re cheering you on.

Keep those updates coming! P.S. I don’t see any beard yet. FEJ

Keep a steady hand on the tiller, Walt. Those locks can be treacherous!! Tom G.

So neat to see your path of sail! Hope you are all well and enjoying the sea air!
    Take care and Godspeed!
